Refund policy

At Hearth and Hardcover, every item is made just for you as soon as you place your order. Because our products are created on-demand, we don’t accept returns or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases, including ordering the wrong size or deciding you’d prefer a different color.

That said, if something arrives with a problem, we’ll absolutely help make it right.


If Your Item Arrives Damaged, Defective, or Misprinted

If your order shows up with a manufacturing issue (damage, misprint, or defect), please reach out to us within 14 days of receiving your item.

Email hello@hearthandhardcover.com with:

  • Your order number

  • A clear photo showing the issue (photos of the whole item + close-up help most)

Once we review and confirm the issue, we’ll provide a free replacement or a refund, depending on what makes the most sense for your order.

In most cases, you won’t need to mail anything back.


Wrong Item Received

If you received the wrong product (wrong style, color, or design compared to what you ordered), contact us within 14 days of receiving the item, and we’ll fix it with a replacement or refund.


Lost in Transit

If your package appears to be lost in transit (tracking stops updating or never arrives), please contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date so we can help investigate and resolve it.


If Tracking Says “Delivered” But You Don’t Have It

If the carrier marks a package as Delivered but it can’t be located, these situations typically aren’t covered as a standard replacement/refund. 

Here’s what we recommend first (and we’ll help however we can):

  • Check with neighbors/household members

  • Look around the delivery area and any parcel lockers

  • Contact your local post office/carrier to request GPS delivery details or a trace

If it still can’t be found, you may need to file a claim with the carrier. In some cases, we can offer a reshipment at your cost (or at our discretion), but we can’t guarantee free replacements for packages marked delivered.


Size & Fit

We include size charts on our listings to help you choose your best fit. Since each item is made to order, we regrettably cannot offer refunds or exchanges for sizing, unless we sent a different size than what you ordered.


Cancellations & Changes

If you need to update an address or cancel an order, email us as quickly as possible at hello@hearthandhardcover.com. Once an order enters production, it may no longer be possible to change or cancel it. 


Refund Timing

If a refund is approved, it will be issued back to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card provider to process it.
